5 Ways To Boost Metabolism

Hey #WBKgirls, it's your trainer Elise!

Are you looking for ways to boost your fat loss progress? Knowing how to naturally increase your metabolism is the secret key to helping you along your fat loss journey.

Metabolism is responsible for the body’s ability to burn calories, which can give you the edge you need to see results.

So how exactly can you boost metabolism to help you burn fat? Here are my top tips that helped me achieve my 60lbs weight loss!

#1 Do HIIT training

High intensity interval training (HIIT) really is the best form of training for boosting metabolism and helping to burn fat.

HIIT makes your muscles work reaallyyy hard which boosts metabolic rate and burns a lot of calories. HIIT has been shown to increase metabolism for up to 24 hours AFTER your workout is complete, which means you’ll be burning fat even while you're resting!

New to HIIT? I’m here for you! My 30 Day Fat Loss Program introduces you to HIIT style workouts to help burn fat and get you started on your fat loss journey.

#2 Eat at regular times

It was once thought that lots of snacking throughout the day would boost metabolism… but that is old news!

It is much more effective to eat three main meals each day, and at least two snacks per day at regular times. Aim to give your body at least 3 hours between meals to boost metabolism and promote fat burning. This gives your body time to effectively digest food and helps regulate appetite.

#3 Take OxyShred every day

I’ve been taking OxyShred since the start of my weight loss journey.

OxyShred contains nutrients such as Acetyl L-Carnitine, Chromium, and B vitamins which promote fat burning, boost metabolism, and help convert food to be used as energy.

Not only that, but it tastes DELICIOUS! My fav is OxyShred Non-Stim Raspberry Kisses. I take it first thing in the morning when I wake up on an empty stomach to kick start my metabolism for the day!

#4 Get enough sleep

Getting quality sleep for at least 8 hour each night is essential when it comes to fat loss. Sleep regulates hormones and helps regulate your appetite throughout the day. Sleep is the time your body resets and repairs itself. If your sleep rhythm is out of whack, your metabolism will be too!

#5 Eat enough protein

Did you know eating protein can increase metabolism by up to 30%?

Protein increases metabolism by increasing thermogenesis which helps the body burn extra calories. Plus, protein helps keep you fuller for longer by suppressing the hunger hormone (ghrelin).

For this reason, I LOVE taking Blessed Protein within 30 minutes after my workout. It gives me 23g of protein per serve, which is great to up my protein intake since I’m on a plant-based diet.
